2026 Proposed Tax Rate Information

Harris County Emergency Services District No. 60 has released its official tax rate documents for the 2026 tax year.

The proposed tax rate is $0.100000 per $100 of property valuation, which falls between the No-New-Revenue rate of $0.083183 and the Voter-Approval rate of $0.101516. For a median-valued homestead (valued at $225,539), the estimated tax bill at the proposed rate would be approximately $225.54, compared to $187.61 at the No-New-Revenue rate.

Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate

A public hearing on the 2026 proposed tax rate will be held on September 9, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at 7601 Uvalde Road, Houston, Texas 77049, and Harris County Emergency Services District No. 60 shall take action on the proposed tax rate on September 9, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. following the hearing.
