Open House – October 14, 2023
Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue, along with Harris County Services District No. 60 (HCESD #60) Board of Commissioners, would like to invite Sheldon residents to our Open House event.
When: Saturday, October 14, 2023, 2 PM to 4 PM
Where: Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue – Station #1
7601 Uvalde Road, Houston, Texas 77049
Sheldon residents can view the fire apparatus in the bays, our 100’ platform aerial (ladder) truck, see firefighter gear demos and activities for the kids as well. There will be light refreshments. No RSVP required.
Empowering Safety: Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue Trains Hampton Inn & Suites Staff in Fire Readiness and Extinguisher Use
HAMPTON INN & SUITES / Houston East / Beltway8: Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue was invited to demonstrate to hotel staff how to be the first line of defense in the event of a fire.
Fire extinguisher use is so important to hotel staff who may be first to know of an issue.
Familiarize yourself with your extinguisher and remember the acronym PASS—Pull (pin), Aim, Squeeze and Sweeping motion.
Don’t panic, be prepared.
